VOTE
By Christa M.
Election, election,
Please make a selection,
Makes no difference whom I choose.
For it is without fail,
Just as all dogs have tails,
My candidate's guaranteed to lose.
Don't let my words discourage,
For I always encourage,
People exercising their right to vote.
For this very right,
Our forefathers did fight,
It's a right I will always promote.
Election Day
By Emily Z.
Who should I pick,
Oh who should I chose?
Who'll be the the winners,
And which ones will lose?
The election at Peacock,
It should be so easy,
But there's so much to pick from,
It's making me queasy.
Should I vote for the one,
That's the nicest of all?
Or the one who gave candy,
To me in the hall?
Should I vote for the ones,
That keep every thing clean?
Or the ones that promised,
A new vending machine?
Should I vote for the loudest,
The bravest or proudest?
Should I vote for the meanest,
The nicest or cleanest?
Should I vote for the ones,
That are best at a sport?
Or the ones that look nice,
Or the ones that are short?
In the end I will make,
A good wise decision.
I will vote for the ones,
That should fill that position.
