Advisor thanks students and staff for another great year
I would like to thank all the students who contributed to The Charger this year and helped to make it a success. I would also like to thank the editorial staff for all their work and creativity.
I was very happy with the quality and variety of stories and wide student participation this year. I was also very pleased with the increased color printing and advertising.
Megan K.'s hard work as advertising editor helped us purchase two quality digital cameras and two more tape recorders. We now have better photographs and more accurate reports of interviews.
The editors will receive a CD-ROM version of The Charger as a token of appreciation. Any student who contributed to two issues of The Charger will receive a certificate of merit.
I wish the eighth graders luck in their high school careers and hope to see the rest of you again next year.
I would be remiss if I did not thank the administration and teachers for their support, and Mrs. Denise Doyle and Mrs. Linda Purtell for all their help and patience in copying The Charger each month.

The great schedule debate continues
By Shannon P.
I asked seventh graders whether for next year, they would rather continue the block schedule we are on now, or go back to the old schedule.
I only interviewed seventh graders, because the sixth graders weren't here last year, and the eighth graders are leaving.
Of the fifteen students I interviewed, ten prefered the block scheduling and five wanted to return to the old schedule of shorter classes that met everyday.
